Saddle up and follow scenic trails with the experienced team at West Creek Stables, Auster’s neighboring sister property, while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding meadows, mountains, and river valleys.
Every ride is led by experienced wranglers who carefully match horses to each rider based on comfort and experience level. This thoughtful approach helps create a safe, enjoyable experience while ensuring the health and well-being of the horses that make these adventures possible.
Before You Ride
To ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for both our guests and our horses, please review the following guidelines before your ride:
Rider Requirements
- Minimum age: 7 years old
- Maximum rider weight: 250 pounds
- Riders should be comfortable with light physical activity and maintaining their balance while riding.
What to Wear
- Cowboy boots (available to borrow if needed)
- Long pants recommended
- Dress for changing mountain weather
- Hats should have a chin strap or fit securely
What to Bring
Leave backpacks and large bags behind. Each saddle includes space for:
- Water bottle
- Cell phone
- Essential medication

Before your ride, we’ll ask for:

- Riding experience
