How are we welcoming the community to experience Auster?
On Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., we’re hosting a free community open house, no formal program, no dress code, just a chance to walk the property, meet the people who work here, and see what’s been taking shape out here in Paradise Valley.
The short version:

- Self-guided walk-through of the cabins and public spaces
- Food and drinks, lawn games, family activities, a photo booth, and a postcard station
- A scavenger hunt with a raffle, grand prize is a two-night stay at Auster
Wander at your own pace
Model cabins will be unlocked and ready to walk through, our public spaces will be open to explore, and our team will be around all day for informal introductions. Grab something to eat, find a spot on the lawn, come back later if you want.
Play a little, win a little
Guests can also enjoy lawn games, family activities including pumpkin decorating, face painting, and carriage rides, a photo booth, a postcard station, and other opportunities to explore the property at their own pace.
Kids and adults can join a property-wide scavenger hunt, and finishing it earns you a raffle entry. Prizes include Auster merchandise, YETI gear packages, and a grand prize of a two-night stay at Auster. We’ll also have branded koozies and stickers to hand out while they last, so get there early if you want one.

What you’ll find when you get here
Auster at Dome Mountain has 20 cabins along the Yellowstone River, with Emigrant Peak and the Absaroka Range rising behind them. Southwind Kitchen and Saloon, our restaurant and bar with a rooftop deck, will pour and serve throughout the day. There’s also a retail market, a drive-thru coffee stand, and a handful of outdoor gathering spaces perfect for an afternoon of lawn games and enjoying outdoor time together.
This open house is really an introduction to two things: what it’s like to stay here, and what it’s like to just stop by. No RSVP, no ticket- just show up on Oct. 4.
