General Manager
I was born in North Dakota and raised in Washington State. My roots in these places instilled in me a love for good people, wide open spaces, mountains, rivers and oceans.
After high school, I headed to California to study Recreation Management with an emphasis in Recreational Therapy, preparing for a career serving at-risk youth. Some of my most humbling experiences came from working with homeless teens in St. Louis, high school students with disabilities in Fresno, developing recreational and spiritual programs for kids and teens, and coaching high school volleyball and track back home in Lake Stevens, Washington.
After a decade in youth development, I moved to Arizona where new doors opened in the hospitality industry. I was fortunate to learn from exceptional mentors while working with premier guiding companies and luxury resorts. When the summer heat slowed business in Arizona, I started seasonal work with the National Park Service and guest ranches, which ultimately led me to AMB West.
My favorite outdoor clients of all time are my nieces and nephews. They’re always ready for an adventure and would probably follow me right off a cliff if I promised, “It’ll be fun.”
Today, I’m honored to lead the Auster team. Our mission is simple: to create exceptional experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. Whether you’re visiting from five minutes away or from the other side of the world, I hope you leave with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for the beauty, history, and spirit of Paradise Valley.
